Kensho occupied the carriage house on the historic Yamashiro grounds in Hollywood. Kellie Patry designed the restaurant around an open kitchen and pale timber seating, with benches and stools extending from inside to outside.

A mural by artist Thomas Williams brings color into the compact room. Patry described Noguchi as an inspiration for the project.
